Rashmika Mandanna–Vijay Deverakonda Wedding: Newlyweds Receive Grand Welcome At Thummanpet Village, Videos Go Viral

After tying the knot in a private ceremony in Udaipur on February 26, stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda made their way to Thummanpet village in Telangana, the actor’s native place, where they were given a grand welcome by locals. The newlyweds, who arrived in Hyderabad after their wedding, first visited the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Temple in Jubilee Hills on Sunday, where they were seen distributing sweets to fans and devotees in scenes that quickly went viral on social media.

On Monday, Rashmika and Vijay reached Thummanpet, where videos from the event show enthusiastic villagers greeting them with traditional fanfare. In the village, the couple is expected to perform a Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham ceremony at their new house, which is also scheduled to host a house-warming ritual soon.

The footage from Thummanpet has already caught online attention, with fans reacting to the couple’s heartfelt interaction with well-wishers. Social posts shared from the celebrations feature scenes of villagers cheering and offering flowers as Rashmika and Vijay absorbed the warm reception in their adopted hometown.

While at Thummanpet, the couple also attended Allu Sirish’s pelli koduku (haldi) ceremony, where Sirish shared videos showing Rashmika and Vijay enjoying the festivities.

The celebrations continue to build ahead of the couple’s grand wedding reception in Hyderabad on March 4, which is expected to draw several prominent personalities from the film industry. Their teams have said that the reception will be invite-only due to enhanced security and crowd-management measures.
